Delete Your Data
You have the right to delete your Conviv account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains what that means and how to do it.
How to Request Deletion
You can delete your account and data using either of these methods:
1 In the App (Fastest)
- Open Conviv and tap your profile icon.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your decision when prompted.
Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately.
2 By Email
Send an email to support@conviv.ai with the subject line:
"Data Deletion Request"
Include the email address associated with your Conviv account. We will verify your identity before processing the request.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

| Personal ratings and notes | Permanently deleted |
| AI concierge chat history | Permanently deleted |

| Push notification tokens | Permanently deleted |
| Google Sign-In connection | Permanently deleted |
What May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, certain data may be retained after account deletion:
- Anonymized, aggregated data: Statistical data that cannot be used to identify you (e.g., total number of users, aggregate usage patterns) may be retained for analytics purposes.
- Legal obligations: If we are required by law to retain certain records (e.g., for tax, legal, or regulatory compliance), we will retain only the minimum necessary data for the required period.
- Fraud prevention: Basic records may be retained to prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service (e.g., to prevent a banned user from creating a new account).
- Server logs: IP addresses and access logs are retained for up to 30 days after deletion for security purposes and then automatically purged.
Any retained data is stored securely and used only for the specific purposes stated above.
Timeline
Your data will be deleted within 30 days of your request.
In most cases, deletion is completed much sooner. Here is what to expect:
- Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you are signed out. You will no longer be able to log in.
- Within 24 hours: Your data is removed from active systems and is no longer visible to other users or accessible through the app.
- Within 30 days: Your data is permanently purged from all databases and backups.
Confirmation
Once your data has been fully deleted, we will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your account. If you submitted your request by email, we will reply to confirm receipt and again upon completion.
If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 days, please contact us at support@conviv.ai.
Important Notes
- This action is permanent. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before requesting deletion.
- Shared content: If you shared restaurants or lists with other users, copies they saved to their own accounts will not be affected by your deletion.
- Third-party accounts: Deleting your Conviv account does not delete your Google account. You can manage your Google account separately at myaccount.google.com.
- Re-registration: After deletion, you may create a new Conviv account at any time. However, your previous data will not be available.
Your Rights
Your right to data deletion is protected under multiple privacy regulations:
- GDPR (EU/EEA): Article 17 — Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")
- CCPA/CPRA (California): Right to request deletion of personal information
- Apple App Store Requirements: Apps must provide a way for users to delete their accounts and data
- Google Play Requirements: Apps must provide a way for users to request data deletion
